♫ Do they know it’s Christmas time at all? ♫

¡Feliz Navidad y próspero año nuevo!

Celebrated in nearly all the countries in the world, Christmas is a time for spreading love, happiness, and kindness and spending time with those you love and care for most. It is no surprise that we ♫ wish it could be Christmas every day♫ Keep reading to learn how our different teachers celebrate the Christmas holiday…

Growing up in England, Christmas holds a special place in my heart. ♫ It’s the most wonderful time of the year ♫, whether the anticipation of the John Lewis Christmas advert (similar to El Corte Inglés)… or visiting the Christmas markets with my mum!

At primary school, we would spend December writing Christmas cards, and practising our Christmas songs for carol singing ♫ Deck the halls with boughs of holly Fa la la la la, la la la la ♫. But my favourite activity was the annual Christmas pantomimes that all the schools in the area would go and watch together.

My favourite part of Christmas was always decorating the Christmas tree with my family and writing our Christmas letters to Father Christmas on Christmas eve. We would then leave our letters on our stockings by the fireplace, with a glass of whiskey, a mince pie, and a carrot for the reindeer.

Christmas in my house was all about Christmas lunch!! Roast turkey, roast potatoes, pigs in blankets… the lot! Not forgetting to set the Christmas pudding on fire with brandy! And then after that, like most British households, we would all sit around the television and watch the Queen’s speech at 3 pm.

♫ Have a holly jolly Christmas ♫, and

♫ we wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year ♫
